About Me

Kate has been working as a Production Designer and Set Decorator for the past three years, and is a graduate of the Australian Film, Radio and Television School in Sydney, having studied under Igor Nay in Screen Design, as well as graduating from a Grad Dip in Event Design and Management from Flinders University in South Australia.

Kate has spent the past twenty years as an actor working in stage and screen, having studied at the Arts Educational Schools, London and gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in Performance Studies, and she is no stranger to the workings of a set. She loves working in a detailed manner with Directors, DOP's and Actors, to create a harmonious collaboration and unified vision for the finished product, while injecting design ideas to create a flow and style for the overall piece.

Kate has worked on many varied projects as Production Designer, including most recently the newest Netflix TV show, White Rabbit Project and Beyond Productions Deadly Women Season 10. 2016 saw her design short film, I Contacted Poison Control that had it's debut screening at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as heading over to the USA in 2017 for the experimental Ann Arbor Film Festival, and she was also a final four nominee for Best Production Design on a Short Film or Music Clip for her work as Production and Costume Designer on Little Boy Blue at the Australian Production Design Guild Awards 2016.

2015 and 2016 also saw Kate begin her love affair with designing scare attractions, as the Creative Producer for Halloween at Sydney's Luna Park. Having worked since 2008 as an actor in many of Sudden Impact Entertainment's scare mazes, including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Prison Break Live: The Riot and The Maze Runner: Live, she is now using this experience to design and create large-scale interactive attractions, including the classic horror movie maze; Private Screaming and the sinister circus themed maze; Madame Fortuna's Forgotten Funfair.
