Little Boy Blue | Short

Little Boy Blue is a short film that Kate recently completed, as Production and Costume Designer. In a dark, fairytale style this film is set in the 1950's and follows the story of a young girl who gets revenge on a neighbouring farmer, after a series of twisted events take place. This film won the audience choice award in the Mardi Gras Film Festival 2016 as part of My Queer Career, and Kate was a final four nominee for Best Production Design on a Short Film or Music Clip at the Australian Production Design Guild Awards 2016.

 

Here Is Now | Short

Here Is Now is a short film collaboration, co-designed by Kate Englefield and Christina Bouzios. Set in the midst of a decaying marriage, this film is a poignant reminder of those heady feelings of first love, mingled with feelings of loss and isolation when it all starts to unravel.

Halloscream 4

Luna Park Sydney

Halloscream 4 at Sydney's Luna Park is the second Halloween that Kate has Creatively Produced for the Park. From designing and installing brand new maze attractions, to casting around 70 actors and costuming over 200 performers, it is always a mammoth task. Brand new attractions included Madame Fortuna's Forgotten Funfair; a scare maze filled with sideshow and circus characters, Private Screaming; a scare maze with a classic Hollywood horror vibe, Dead & Breakfast; a maze with a twisted history, based on Roald Dahl's short story The Landlady, trick or treat trail The Ghost Hunt in conjunction with the new Ghostbusters film and Sony Entertainment, among many, many others.

Attack! Attack! Art? |

Web Series

Written and directed by Scott Walmsley, Attack! Attack! Art? is a new web series due for release in 2017 that Kate designed at the end of 2015. It is a tongue-in-cheek look at the world of high art and artists and a family conflict when one devious Gran decides to show her Grand-daughter who's boss...

Mythbusters spin-off White Rabbit Project is a brand new TV series that made it's debut on Netflix at the end of 2016. Kate designed the drama elements that are scattered throughout the show, including scenes of Hitler's transformation into a woman, various scams and heists, futuristic ideas of supercomputers and printer rage and numerous others.
